Learning How To Dance (With Learntodance.com)

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a very good dancer. At parties and clubs I'm the one swaying awkwardly back and forth, hoping nobody notices my lack of "moves." Yes, I'll never make it onto So You Think You Can Dance...

But there's good news!

Yes, according to www.learntodance.com, I'm not without hope. And that means neither are you! They claim everyone can learn how to dance with a little bit of instruction. But is it true? Will I be adding dancing to my list of hobbies?

...well I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Watch the 3 Basic Elements

One of the reasons I like learntodance.com is that they offer extremely basic instructional videos (for free might I add!) before building on those moves and incorporating them into more difficult dances. While the quality of the videos isn't great, almost anyone can do the 3 basic elements.

Dance Styles

Learn to Dance also highlights nearly every dance style out there--from bellydancing to the samba.

If you're going to learn to dance, you should probably know a bit about the different styles. Plus, it's interesting! Paso-Doble, for instance (which I'd never heard of) originates from Spain and is based on the movements performed by the matadors during bull-fights.

The Top 5

If you've watched the videos and studied the dances but still want more instruction, the site also offers a list of their top 5 recommended videos to buy. While I haven't yet tried any of these personally, I'd sure love to learn how to impress my friends with my new breakdancing moves, so I may have to try it.

While I'm not yet a good dancer, trying new hobbies is what Not So Boring Life is all about, isn't it?

So hopefully you don't mind if I end this article now. I'm off to bust a move...

Hei!

I sent you an email via your contact details. I just got a ‘phising scam’ email in return that appeared to be coming from you.

Just thought you should know.

Cheers
L-Jay
