I caught Bonnethead sharks on catfish but large mullets with a few small cuts( to keep it alive for a while) works for me.

I usually stab the blue runner like 6 times so its bleeding a lot and then cast it out. It speeds up the time for shark fishing. I usually shark fish between a 1/2 mile and 2 1/2 miles offshore in south florida using a 8/0 hook. i catch mostly blacktips from 2-6′

if i was fishing for 6-8 foot sharks with light tackle would a barbed spear help get them in.

what is the easiest way to kill a shark without a gun? not saying i want to kill sharks but if i catch a big one and want to keep it.

yes it will cause a feeding frenzy wich would be good if you want to catch a shark every cast but don’t do it near a beach beacuase there will be at least 5 sharks and probobly 500 swimmers and they will eat pretty much any peace of meat close by.
