Selling My Soul for Links - Batch 3

Currently if you want your blog in the technorati top 100,000 you'll need ~40 links from other blogs to get there. Of coarse that number will move around quite a bit, but it gives you a rough order of magnitude what you need to shoot for. My Selling My Soul for Links - Batch 1 | Batch 2 posts will provide you with around 15 of those links. Most of these sites have elaborate requirements to get your link, but it's worth the time if you're just starting out. In my reviews of these blogs I like to take the opportunity to rate each blogger as either BORING or NOT-SO-BORING. Blog owners are judged on the excitement of their offline lives and the quality of their blog posts related to extracurricular activities.

Not-So BORING!the thinking blog: If you had to choose one blog to review this should be it. Why you ask? Because of all the perks that come with it. Your review will guarantee you 2 link backs, the possibility of winning a custom favicon, and if you write the top notch review you'll win a $2000 blog facelift by Ilker who is a very good at graphics design. Check out all the details here.

the thinking blog avatarIlker is a big part of the blogging community. She has one of the largest MyBlogLog communities I've seen and the most famous avatar to boot. What I appreciate most about the avatar is that it's in good taste. It's a very intriguing picture of a beautiful woman. No cleavage. What's even better is there is a great story about the avatar. Ilker actually chose this picture as an experiment to see if it would drive more traffic to the site based on the picture. If you're interested in seeing the results check out A Shy Blogger's Avatar and MySpamLog.

What I love most about TTB is there is something for everyone. There are 18 categories ranging from A - V. Quite literally. New posts everyday. Sometimes they are useful tips or tricks. Othertimes they are just interesting, and don't be surprised if you find something totally off the wall like Test Your Lung Capacity. So I guess you're wondering why I gave the thinking blog a Not-So Boring rating. Well if I stand any chance of winning the best review this will certainly help. In addition to that the variety of information found on the blog is guaranteed to keep anyone from getting bored. Enough said

BORING!Kumiko's Cash Quest: If you review Kukimo's blog and guess her page rank she'll give you $30 and the opportunity to author a post on her blog. That's a pretty good deal for a simple review, don't you think? So, I guess PR4 on the next google update. The one thing I appreciate about her blog is her weekly reviews of how her blog is doing. This is great for new blogs to gauge their success by. As for the Boring rating, her blog is really hunkered down on the making money online niche. Because of that there aren't really any personal accounts of entertaining stuff she does offline in Tokyo.

Not So BORING!Best Online Earning Strategies: Since this was the only entry I had for the Not-So Boring Challenge I decided it was best to include it here. In doing so I'll provide a brief review of the site. Bonnie Lowe is a new blogger running her site about online earning strategies. The design is nice and clean and the content seems to be updated daily. Not only that but the content is pretty useful. Bonnie's entry in the NSB Challenge was one of the least boring I've read thus far. It's a short story about her experience when she was in the Army and had to take a trip to Mongolia to drop off medical supplies. What an experience that must have been  Great story and I hope to read a couple more just like it in the near future Bonnie. Great job!

Not-So BORING!Introduce My Blog: Get your free chocolate. Provide 1 link and get a free box of chocolate from Hawaii! That's Not-So Boring! Expires April 7th.

Hey, I just started a site with the same idea in mind, because of the recent boost in popularity of link bait promotions. I started BlogBait.net. I do like you boring not boring thing, so I will have to implement something similar.

I ran across BlogBait this morning after visiting Mr. Gary Lee. Cool blog you’ve got going. If I were you I would go with something like “A-List” or “Potential A-List”. For other blogs you go do b or c list blogs ;)

Hey Nathan, thank you for your nice comments about my blog, and especially for awarding it the coveted title of Not-So-Boring! That sure makes my trip to Mongolia worthwhile!

If you could add mine to the list I would love to hear your take on it. Nobody has ever reviewed my blog.
