NotSoBoringLife March Statistics

Now that March is behind us I thought I would update my readers on the site statistics.

Here is a quick overview:

• 36 posts - That’s more than 1 post per day.
• 105 comments - Averaging 3 comments per post.
• 66 links from 34 blogs (Technorati Rating = ~125,000)
• ~500,000 Alexa ranking
• Averaging 30 unique visitors per day
• ~20 Feedburner subscriptions

Here’s a shot of Google Analytics Traffic for the month of March. It interesting to me that my traffic oscillates. All my peaks are in the middle of the week and the lows in the weekend. I guess people are really bored at work by the middle of the week.

Interview: Golf Girl Diary: My interview with Patricia Hannigan generated a lot of traffic. If you’re looking to boost your traffic find a person of interest in your niche and interview them.

Mixed-Up Words: My post about the Cambridge University study of how people can read mixed up / scrambled words is getting quite a bit of search engine traffic. To date this single post yields the most SEO traffic to this site. I guess that’s not really good since it’s not really in my niche.

Photoblog Review: Straymatter: This post was submitted to StumbleUpon which resulted in the large spike in the google analytics chart above. I think there were around 400 visits as a result.

Goals / Plans for April:

1. Double traffic to the site (~60 uniques per day)
2. Double Feedburner subscriptions (~40 subscribers)
3. SEO the site for ‘Recreation’ type keywords
4. Release the Custom Theme for Wordpress
