List of Hobbies
The easiest way to find a new hobby is to check out a thorough list of hobbies. If the list is long enough you're bound to find something that looks interesting. We promise this is going to be the largest list of hobbies you've ever seen. I'd like to call it the worlds largest list, but I really have no way of proving it. If you find a hobby list longer than ours please let us know. I'd like to personally congratulate them.

How to find a hobby?…

Why is gun collecting, weapons collecting, Civil War, etc not on this list?
Gun collecting, etc is a great hobby! I know lots of people who have fun with this hobby and there is nothing negative about it. It involves lots of history and research.
yeah but bot a good hobbie
clever
Lewis,
Kill yourself as soon as possible. Do not procreate, do not collect $200.
oh yeah; and Tombstone rubbing isn’t? This list includes unbelievable ideas and lacks substance. What about Falconry?! That’s a frikkin hobby!
Gun collecting is a fun and great hobby. By the comments I have read, there are alot of leftist, gun hating liberals out there. Well, that is your opinion, I served 20 years in the service for you to be able to voice your opinion. If you don’t like wepons (guns) keep it to yourself you low life whale shit. God, Guns, & guts is the only thing keeping you free; don’t forget that!
Free from what exactly ?
ok idiot…free for what?’
What about gift wrapping?
You know you forgot cartoons and comics
How about singing? Solo, choir or ensembles? Paid or free. A good hobby for those with a musical bend and a decent voice (or not). Just need to have a passion for it.
Barber Shop quartets or Sweet Adelines.
You have it right. I have a very passionate voice!
Square dancing.
There are many types of folkdancing, not just square. For example, contra danincing, sponsored by the San Diego folk heritage Society. There are also the many ethnic dances, Irish, Scottish, Israeli, Greek and more. Then, of course, there are more traditional ballroom type dances and American dances such as swing, disco, waltz, fostrot, mambo and so forth.
Articles like these put the csoneumr in the driver seat?very important.
what about knives and grenades???
KNIVES AND GRENADES
day dreaming
#181 lmao
what is so funny about #181? not very funny to me!
cigar smoking is a hobby? OH MY GOD! what happened to this world?
Some of the smartest men ( and truely some women ) did this regularly. Even indians spoked a pipe of peace to settle alliances with other tribes. Its been going on for ages.
smoked*
seejay..why is cigar smoking not considered a hobby to you, this world is fine. hdiwehdewih is right it’s been going on for ages. It’s similar to collecting fine wines. I frequently go to cigar bars with friends (even by myself), and smoke a fine hand rolled cigar from $6 to $30. A lot more goes into it then just lighting up some stogie, there’s tons of flavors in a cigar that make it truly enjoyable hobby. The cigar itself is a thing of art, each one hand rolled differently by somebody who’s been rolling cigars there entire life passing the tradition down to there children, truly amazing.
Hey! My hobbies include Tombstone Rubbing and Rocking AIDS Babies
WTF!!!
I’d also add real estate rehabbing / flipping to the list.
My hobby is to collect caps from different parts of the world. Most of the regions have their own distinctive caps/hats. It reflects their culture, climate, habit, belief, history, religion even politics.
Hi,
I do not see Model railroading on this website that has a good following in New Zealand and around the world.
What about Iceskating? It’s great fun and quite easy to learn; you can have lessons or just go with some friends!
Breading / Making babies, anyone?
Breeding, Making Babies should be the first
NO. 227 WOOOHOOO!!!!! SPACE MARINES 4 LIFE!!!!!
The following are also hobbies that haven’t been included in your list: Domaining, SEO / Internet Marketing, Shopping Online, Programming, Photoshopping, Recycling…
I collect matchbooks…..some of them are quite original…..like little pieces of artwork!!
I tried knitting got screwed, Tried the rc and broke my first one, So i am wondering if anyone has a hobbie for me so I can stop playing Call Of Duty, Halo, and/or first person shooting games.
TOTALLY agree. I can’t knit or do anything with fabric. I’m hobby-less, and the only thing I can ever think of doing when I have free time is Call of Duty.
You got that right!!! I am a guy that likes to be active any chance I can get, however even though there are some hobbies on this list I am interested in, it interferes according to where I live. It’s not like I can hang glide off my roof.lol
Hypnosis, Bell Collecting, GLBT Rights, Electronic Cigarettes, Internet Radio,W icca, Astrology, Tarot Reading.
u forgot teaching
Being a teacher is a noble career, but teaching isn’t really a hobby.
How about pilates???:)
Gaming, mythology,
where’s squash and cardistry??
Maintaining a freshwater or saltwater aquarium is a hobby. But it’s not really something to bring a couple together, maintain sparks. I thought the point of this was having things you can share with your spouse. We’ve been married 29 years in August. We decided to try playing a different type of music together, in this case, baroque or classical. Up until now, my son and I have been playing Klezmer and R+B on the violin. My husband plays piano but he doesn’t play much. He could get excited about Brandenburg concertos, Pachelbel, Vivaldi and Beethoven. It’s a start. We read together as a family at night. We are also discussing finding a new type of art project. Any ideas? And what do you do with the art you have made? It becomes clutter.
THEY FORGOT SAND CASTLE MAKING!! AAHHHH!!
Texting is a hobby
I’m surprised you don’t have collecting/trading baseball cards (or other sports for that matter)
Does watching horror movies count?
Slack Lining
I’m a hobby aficionado myself. Check out my hobby blog and hear about my most recent venture into yoga. Yeah…yoga in Florida sans air conditioning. Are they insane? Anyway, check it out sometime! I’m at hobbymethree.blogspot.com
What about taxidermy, Sculpey/Play-Doh, letter writing, and organization?
Based on a lot of the comments on your list, I think you may need to define ‘hobby’. Some of the things on your list – volunteering, for example – are really more serious than the usual connotation of ‘hobby’ suggests.
you HAVE to take a look in to the ring and hook game. Look it up!
gold panning
Golf, airplane piloting, cycling, bicycle repairing (give them to charity for kids who can’t afford a bike). As to ice skating, here in Canada it’s not a hobby, more of a national fixation.
How about boffer fighting. It’s a great hobby! (www.swordplay.com.br)
Irish Dancing!!!!!!!!!!
What about crossdressing? I love dressing up in womans bras, panties, lingerie, etc…. I honestly dont think im the only one!
esta claro que faltan muxos hobbies como la natacion o el modelismo naval!!! xD…
Kunai thowing and being a ninja
ultimate frisbee?
Poledance is a great hobby!
:O
I am very upset with this list. Where is nuclear warhead collecting? This is a great hobby that takes a years of dedication and research to fully appreciate.
I have recycling yarn as a hobby
I don’t see anything about the weather. Many people keep detailed weather observations that can come to dominate their lives. Storm chasing is considerable as a separate entry.
hockey!! and are you by chance the fml perdix?
I thought 221 said “torturing children”.
Ha ha, I thought that too. Hey people, I don’t see making a movie (not a professional one)
lol really that’s what i thought to.
What about baton twirling or color flag!!!!!!!!!!!!! How could yall even forget those
Yes! Me too!
Don’t forget my personal favorite: Sculpting!
